Caretaker

Caretaking and Cleaning Services are seeking to appoint an organised, enthusiastic and highly motivated Caretaker, based at St Andrew's C of E Primary School, Nuttall Lane, Bury BL0 9JD.
You will need to be organised, reliable and detail-oriented, ready to establish and maintain a high standard of cleaning.
You should have the ambition to improve the school by performing your duties, especially utilizing your DIY skills.

The Role
The role will mainly consist of:
1. Opening/closing the school, including gates at specific times of the day.
2. Supervising/managing the cleaners and ensuring a good standard of cleanliness is maintained.
3. Cleaning designated areas daily to a high standard.
4. Performing any jobs that arise during the day as requested by the school.
5. Completing DIY tasks as required.
6. Handling porterage as needed.
7. Deep cleaning the school when not on holiday, in conjunction with cleaners.
The salary for this post will be Grade 6, approximately £21,780 per annum.
This post is permanent, all year round, 32 hours per week.
Holidays can ONLY be taken when school is off (outside term-time), spread across the year.
Work Pattern: Split shift 6:00 am - 9:00 am and 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 6:00 am - 9:00 am and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Friday. This may change according to school requirements.
You must be physically capable of undertaking the required duties. Relevant experience is an advantage, although not essential as training will be provided.
