Job summary There is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, specialist physiotherapist with experience or a a burning interest in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay covering a maternity leave until January 2026. Internal applications for secondment will be considered The post will be based Lancaster Royal Infirmary and working closely with the X- bay team. The post holder will manage a caseload covering Obstetrics inpatients/ outpatients, Gynaecology inpatients with inpatient Breast Care provision. The team work closely with the urogynaecology MDT, consultants, midwives and GPs. The post holder will support the development of Pelvic Health physiotherapy colleagues in the cross bay team. The Cross bay team includes Advanced Physiotherapists and a team of Specialist Physiotherapy colleagues across the sites. The trust is involved in PPHS NHS improvement programme and is currently a implementer site. An element of your role will include working within this project. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for sharing the clinical case load of the Pelvic Health team, assisting the implementation of service development in line with current evidence and standards and training for physiotherapists, students and the wider MDT. The role will include both in and out-patient activity with some group work. Duties will include supporting the Advanced Physiotherapist in team development, audit, projects and service change The successful applicant will be an effective team player, have the ability to use their initiative and communicate with empathy. Previous experience is desirable You will be expected to be a member of the week end working rota, also providing public holiday cover. About us We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
