Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Andover
Contract: 12-month maternity cover
Salary: £36,000 DOE
ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant to cover maternity for 12 months.
The role will support the Management Accounts team in providing a professional Financial Service, including the preparation and monitoring of budgets, processing of accruals, prepayments and other provisions, and the production of monthly accounts.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts to meet agreed deadlines.
2. Prepare and post monthly journals.
3. Run adhoc reports as requested.
4. Analyse management accounts with the assistance of the Management Accountant in order to create budget statements.
5. Carry out reconciliations to cost centres, identifying reasons for adverse profit positions.
6. Provide budget holders with support in understanding their management accounts.
7. Assist in providing accurate and timely information to the service charge team.
8. Support the Management Accountant in the budget/forecast setting process.
9. Ensure the accurate billing of both internal and external customers.
10. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and professional accounting standards.
Requirements:
1. GCSE Maths and English Grade A*-C
2. Qualified in or working towards AAT or similar qualifications
3. All-round knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
4. Must have experience in a finance team in previous roles
5. Ability to effectively manage relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and colleagues
6. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise own workload
7. Confident in building relationships and engaging with non-financial teams
8. A team player is a must
