Job Description
Boutique Fairfield County-based property management company is seeking an Accounting Manager to become part of our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that a portfolio of Class A office, retail, industrial and multi-family apartment properties are maintained at the highest industry standards.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
* Manage the company’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and cash flow forecasting
* Bill and collect management fees
* Financial management of clients' real estate investments
* Manage budgeting and forecasting process to control spending
* Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
* Perform CAM reconciliations and billings
* Implement improvement in financial policies, procedures, controls, compliance and reporting systems
* Recommend financial performance benchmarks
* Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
* Manage financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training and coaching employees
* Collaboration with principal
Qualifications
* Strong organizational skills
* Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Analytic mind
* Experience with Appfolio and Yardi a plus
* Must be a team player with a "can-do" attitude
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
* Minimum 5-10 years experience in accounting/finance
* Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
