Protocol Education are working with a Special Needs School in Bourne End, High Wycombe, which provides children with Special needs, emotional, social, and behavioural needs to enable them to access and achieve within their educational journey.
Working alongside a talented, compassionate team, the successful candidate will strive to be the difference for these children, adapting their approach according to the specific child they are assigned to support.
With an understanding that behaviour is a form of communication, being able to see beyond these behaviours to get to the root cause and apply strategies to support the child through this to grow and develop their ability to progress within school.
Hours: 8:30am-4pm
Responsibilities:
* Provide personalized support to individuals with varying difficulties
* Assist in daily activities and routines
* Foster a safe and inclusive environment
* Collaborate with a team to implement care plans
Requirements:
* Compassionate and patient demeanor
* Strong communication and empathy
* Experience or understanding of autism spectrum disorders
* Ability to adapt to varying needs
Preferred:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Training in autism support or related fields
* Knowledge of behavior management techniques
