Priory Hospital Bristol is looking to recruit a sessional Psychologist to our general psychiatry outpatient service. The team works with clients with complex mental health problems including, complex emotional needs, psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, recurrent depression and complex PTSD. We are interested in candidates with specialist training in DBT. Additional training in other psychotherapies such as CBT, CBTp, MBT, CAT, EMDR and ACT would be a bonus. Main duties of the job The suitable candidate will be working across our two esteemed locations, and your role will be focused in our Private Outpatient Treatment Service. You'll work with dedicated therapy teams known for delivering the highest quality care. Offering specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment for clients with complex mental health needs. Job responsibilities To provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention to patients attending the service. To provide specialist advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to client's formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients whose difficulties are managed by psychologically based standard care plans. To administer Psychometric tests and other evidence-based assessments as clinically indicated.
