An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 full-time Band 5 Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) to join the Think Together Team with the CAMHS Single Point of Access Team.
The team is locality-based across North Yorkshire, York, and Selby and although advertised as Northallerton, the base could be York.
We are keen to hear from those already or due to qualify and experienced individuals who are motivated and focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the Think Together Team within the CAMHS Single Point of Access Team. They will need to offer triage assessments, alongside delivering brief outcome-focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The post will also include visiting our partner agencies to deliver support and training, and offer consultation.
The Think Together team works across the locality of North Yorkshire, York, and Selby and there is an expectation of travel across the locality in order to deliver the training, support, and consultation. There may also be a requirement to work adjusted hours between 8 am and 8 pm in relation to the patient experience co-creation group.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with other agencies, you will assess, plan, and implement care for children with mental health needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Successfully completed British Psychological Society (BPS) Accredited or Higher Education England (HEE) Approved academic course of study in line with the CYP IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and will be qualified as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
* Professional registration as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g., British Psychological Society (BPS) or British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)).
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
* Evidence of working with young people who have experienced emotional distress impacting their mental health.
* Experience of delivering low intensity CBT interventions.
* Able to write clear reports and letters.
* Ability to manage own caseload and time.
* Able to deliver evidence-based LICBT interventions in line with protocols.
* Good verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills.
* Competent in risk assessment.
* Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.
* Demonstrates an understanding of how emotional distress may present in young people and impact upon their mental health.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the need to use evidence-based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post.
* Worked in a service where agreed targets are in place demonstrating clinical outcomes.
* Evidence of working in the local community.
* Experience of delivering psycho-educational groups and parent-led CBT.
* Experience of delivering LICBT interventions with children and young people.
* Demonstrates knowledge of the issues relating to children and young people and the impact it can have on mental health.
* Awareness of alternative interventions that may need to be considered for young people experiencing distress.
