About the Role: Nicholas O'Dwyer is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work within our Wastewater Department. The successful candidate would be working as part of a team on International and Domestic Wastewater Projects including: Portfolio of Design and Build projects in Sub Saharan Africa and Central Europe Worldbank and EU Funded Wastewater Tenders Irish Water Design and Supervision frameworks Severn Trent Water Design Services Yorkshire Water & AMP7 Designer to a number of Tier 1 & 2 Contractors in UK Roles and Responsibilities: Feasibility Assessments Preparing Preliminary Reports Scoping Investigation Contracts Detailed Design including wastewater networks, pump station and treatment plants Preparing Technical Specification and Contract Documents Procurement Process Coordination of inputs from other team members Client liaison Maintaining a culture of continuous improvements across all aspects of the working environment and projects. Training will be provided to fulfil the requirements of your role, your participation to all essential training will be required. To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves. Qualifications and Experience: - Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ post graduate experience, but less experience would also be considered for exceptional candidates. Ideally the candidate will have experience in the design and/or commissioning of wastewater treatment plants. You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Water Engineering exceptional candidates in other engineering disciplines such as Process, Chemical, Civil or Electrical who show an aptitude for the wastewater sector would also be considered. Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc. Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently. Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
