As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide tailored behavioural and emotional support for pupils with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
Build positive relationships with students, fostering trust and mutual respect.
Support students in managing their behaviour effectively to enhance learning outcomes.
Assist in developing and implementing individual behaviour plans.
Work collaboratively with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
Promote a safe and nurturing school environment.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students with behavioural needs.
Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or SEN (desirable but not essential).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
