The job holder is responsible for researching and producing initial draft responses to requests for information made under the Freedom of Information Act (FoiA) and the Environmental Impact Regulations Act (EIR). Work must comply with GDPR.
They are also responsible for completing subject access requests (SARs) and Schedule2 requests in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
They will also be a central point of contact along with other members of the team in supplying
advice and information to other parts of the Agency.
Whilst we welcome applications from candidates looking for part-time work, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Manage requests received and prioritise them appropriately considering
agreed timescales.
* Manage inbox: deal with allocation of incoming requests, send on requests
to other business areas where appropriate, ensure urgent requests are
dealt with immediately, escalate issues to line manager where required.
* Be proactive in building relationships both within own team but also DVSA
wide.
* Work in collaboration with colleagues across all functions for the good of
DVSA and to create a high performing and well respected Agency.
