My client is based in the London area and is currently looking to recruit an experienced Scala Developer to join their team on a 1 Year FTC. They are one of the leaders within the Consulting space and are currently going through a period of growth. They are backed by a huge Multi-National equity firm that is looking to bolster my client's financial position. They are expected to see year-on-year growth, which will allow them to implement and utilize the most in-demand and cutting-edge technology on the market right now.
Your role will include:
1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining Scala applications.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and develop new features.
3. Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
4. Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance.
5. Contributing to the entire development lifecycle, including concept, design, build, deploy, test, release, and support.
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application's competitiveness.
7. Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.

For this role, they are looking for a candidate that has experience in:
1. Proven experience as a Scala Developer or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of functional programming concepts.
3. Proficiency in Scala programming language.
4. Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or other Scala frameworks.
5. Familiarity with build tools such as SBT.
6. Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and experience with data modeling.
7. Understanding of distributed computing principles.
8. Familiarity with micro-services architecture.
9. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
