An opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join Orchid House Surgery, a friendly C9000 patient practice in Ferndown, Dorset.
You will be working with 4 GP Partners, within a multi-disciplinary team including a Salaried GP, Paramedic Practitioners who undertake most home visits on the GP's behalf. In addition, the practice has a close working relationship with the Primary Care Network and has access to additional services such as Pharmacists and Social Prescribers. Your will have the administrative backing of experienced admin and management team.

Main duties of the job
Duties
Your will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP within primary care.
The Post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery, video and/or telephone consultations, checking and authorising repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, and reports.

1. To provide excellent patient care
2. Participate in setting standards for care and auditing clinical outcomes
3. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
4. Recording clear and accurate consultation notes
5. Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary
About us
We are a c9000 patient practice. We form part of the Wimborne & Ferndown Primary Care Network which provides us and patients with access to a wider multi-disciplinary team including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, paramedics, mental health practitioner, health coach, social prescriber, aging well nurse and care coordinators.
Within our own practice, there are 4 Partners, who are supported by three paramedics, advanced nurse practitioner, four nurses, healthcare assistant, two phlebotomists and a very supportive team of reception and administrative colleagues.
Our team is very supportive of each other, both in and across teams.

You will be required to undertake face-to-face, telephone/video consultations with patients, checking and authorising repeat prescriptions, forming part of the duty GP rota, dealing with queries, filing and following up of results, and paperwork (the list is not exhaustive)
