Cheshire West Council is currently seeking a dedicated CP or Duty Social Worker to join their team (Ellesmere Port or Winsford). The team is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. With a focus on Court proceedings, we aim to provide high-quality social work services to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage caseload, with no more than 20 cases, to ensure quality service provision.
2. Undertake comprehensive assessments, create effective intervention plans, and regularly review cases to meet the needs of children and families involved in Court proceedings.
3. Collaborate with the Team Manager, Senior Practice Lead, and other social workers to ensure cohesive and coordinated support.
4. Attend Court hearings and provide professional reports and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.
5. Engage with relevant professionals, including legal representatives, guardians, and healthcare providers, to gather information and advocate for the best interests of children.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
7. Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Social Work England registered
2. Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in child protection and Court proceedings.
3. 2 years post qualifying experience
