We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic International Payroll Operations Manager to join our Primark International Payroll Team for a 6-month period. This role is critical in the daily operations of our business. In this role, you will lead on developing the International Payroll team and processes including continuous improvement and transformation. You will also manage the end-to-end operational delivery of our international payrolls, working with our stakeholders to deliver best in class payroll services. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities: Overall responsibility for International payrolls and implementation of new markets: ensure timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation. Lead the team to drive efficient operational processing through the adoption of automation where possible, application of standardised processes and delivery of a consistent service model. Maintains a strong high-performing team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building, performance management and resource planning. Ensure procedures are compliant and consistent with current regulations. Fosters and maintains positive relationships with the internal stakeholder groups. Strong awareness of changes to current payroll legislation to advise the business on necessary changes. Demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Management of the external International payroll vendor contracts, including the on-going management of SLAs, service delivery and ensuring compliance to in-country reporting requirements. Responsible for keeping documented payroll SOPs and work instructions up to date. Develop and maintain robustBusiness Continuity plans for all payrolls. Lead internal and external audits within supported countries ensuring process improvements are introduced as necessary and in line with audit findings. Support in case of labour inspections and payroll audits. Responsible for defining, measuring, and adhering to appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established under the service delivery model. Here are some of the experiences and skills you’ll need for the role: Minimum 7 years’ experience of global payroll processing. Strong people management experience within a payroll function. A solid understanding of payroll processes and experience of managing payrolls internationally. Team-player, collaborative and flexible. High level of proficiency with MS Excel, with advanced skills. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills. Strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize on fast-paced environment. Maturity, discretion and experience dealing with highly confidential information. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact, and professionalism. Demonstrates initiative with a strong work ethic. Superb financial and analytical acumen.
