Your Responsibilities As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the technical management of allocated vessels, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Permanent position - based in Felix Responsibilities Has responsibility for the technical management of allocated vessels with particular regard to safety, security, and environmental standards. Ensures the best technical and economic solution, with minimum downtime. Provides support to the vessels in all technical matters and has responsibility for the maintenance, repairs and modifications to the vessels’ hulls and machinery. Plan and schedule the actions related to corrective and preventive maintenance. Provide the right tools and support to the crew to conduct the maintenance in an efficient and safe way following the instructions from the OEM and internal management systems. Inspect the operation status of the equipment and instruct the crew in the correct reporting and closure of the defect reports in management systems. Follows up on the performance of the vessels and arranges corrective actions to be carried out when necessary. Will be responsible for preparation and management of dry docking and inspection of the vessels. Will be responsible calculation of financial budgets for maintenance, repairs, modifications and dry dockings. Ensures compliance with all relevant company and legislative technical standards. Ensures the quality of services rendered by shipyards, workshops and suppliers are in accordance with the company's requirements. Will be accountable for purchasing and inventory management. Performs accident investigations, audits and inspections. Experience/Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in similar position Relevant Engineer/maritime qualifications In depth knowledge and experience of engineering and technical best practice and processes. Experience of successful people management and team development Previous experience as a technical superintendent, or similar, would be beneficial Knowledge and experience of computer based planned maintenance systems.
