Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Senior Team Leader to join our team. Senior Team Leaders (STL’s) manage mobile teams delivering Grounds Maintenance & Horticultural Services across various contracts and clients. Mentor and guide the supervisors and ground technicians to enhance performance to deliver high quality operational services.
Responsibilities
STL works alongside the Ops Manager to uphold high company standards and achieve quality excellence. The role requires to consistently drive the high standards and expectations of the business, through motivation and management of the operational workforce.
Drive and monitor operational KPI's performance individually and the operational team. Establish great internal and external relationships across the business and clients.
Customer & Service delivery
1. Promote 4th Corner Code of Conduct, Vision, Mission and Values.
2. Provide training and monitoring team members performance and sign posting any concern.
3. Set clear expectations on the day-to-day activities.
4. Ensure reporting is accurate and consistent through the mobile apps.
5. Adhere and promote the awareness of the 4th Corner ISO accreditation's and associated obligations.
6. Attend on site client meetings as required.
7. KPI's adherence.
Communication, planning & organisation
1. Ensure seamless communication and coordination within team, customers and clients.
2. Keep open communications with Business Manager, Ops Manager and office team.
3. Plan and organise daily activities to ensure a smooth operational service delivery.
4. Monitor and review scheduled works and tasks. Ensuring any absences and additional jobs are reported and planned.
5. Plan and organize for new starters operational on-boarding and oversee their stage progress.
Fleet, machinery & equipment
1. Adhere to the company’s kit and machinery maintenance procedures.
2. Complete kit and maintenance reports accurately and timely.
3. Ensure safe and secure storage of all kit and machinery.
4. Ensure the equipment storage, depot and vans standards at all times.
Health & Safety
1. Comply with Company’s Health & Safety Policy and procedures.
2. Conduct on-site Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH Assessments.
3. Conduct ‘Toolbox Talks’.
4. Report Health and Safety or Conduct breaches.
5. Support the Health & Safety appointed person as required.
Team & Operations Management
1. Ensure the operational team work effectively and efficiently to deliver high quality service.
2. Accountable for managing daily workloads and operational team.
3. Manage all administration tasks such as email, reporting, phone calls.
4. Lead by example by promoting and fostering a professional culture.
Role Requirements
1. Hold a clean and valid driving license (manual).
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience within the sector or proven experience in a senior role.
3. Operational qualifications and training certificates.
4. Proven leadership experience.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
6. Strong organisational, problem-solving and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
7. Able to lead and manage by example.
8. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
9. Ability to drive KPI’s and standards.
