Role Pitch We are seeking an experienced VP of Product to lead our product strategy and execution within the global payroll industry. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for driving innovation, defining the product vision, and ensuring seamless integration of our payroll solutions across international markets. You will lead a team of product managers, designers, and analysts to build industry-leading payroll technology that meets the needs of multinational businesses. Key Responsibilities Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include: Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and drive a clear and compelling product strategy aligned with company goals, market trends, and customer needs. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance. Innovation & Technology Alignment: Work closely with the CTO to align product development with the latest advancements in fintech, compliance automation, and AI-driven payroll processing. Market & Customer Insights: Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze industry trends to inform product decisions. Roadmap Development & Execution: Define and prioritize the product roadmap, balancing long-term vision with immediate customer and business needs. Collaboration with Engineering: Partner closely with engineering to ensure timely and high-quality product development and delivery. Global Compliance & Scalability: Oversee product development to ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions and seamless scalability for enterprise clients. Customer-Centric Approach: Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand pain points, market trends, and opportunities to improve payroll products. Customer Experience & UX: Advocate for a seamless and intuitive user experience, working with design teams to enhance usability. Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement: Work with marketing and sales to develop product positioning, messaging, and strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth. Performance Metrics & Analytics: Define and track key product KPIs, using data-driven insights to improve features and functionality. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and customer feedback to continuously iterate and improve the product roadmap. Description Attributes and Experience Required: Proven experience in product leadership roles (10 years). Proven experience in Global Payroll and/or Payments industry (10 years). Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and drive a clear and compelling product strategy aligned with company goals, market trends, and customer needs. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance. Market & Customer Insights: Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze industry trends to inform product decisions. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and operations teams Compliance & Regulatory Considerations: Stay ahead of global payroll regulations, ensuring our products remain compliant across multiple jurisdictions. Familiarity with compliance automation tools, data security standards (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001), and payroll-related regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of AI/ML-driven automation, real-time data processing, and workflow optimization in payroll systems. Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset. Experience with product and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana, Productboard, Monday.com, MS Project, Miro). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean). Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
