Job Description
As a Manager - Supplier Relations you will be responsible for managing the relationship with key/strategic suppliers to deliver value for both the company and the supplier. You will develop relationship management plans, monitor performance and compliance with the company's standards, drive continuous improvement, report on and resolve any performance issues on the supplier side, and partner with suppliers to pursue mutually profitable growth by utilizing sales planning and analytics tools, and marketing and field resources.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with management and suppliers to develop and execute comprehensive business plans.
2. Collaborate with departments to develop business plans, including WESCO executives, field sales organizations, global account teams, and marketing.
3. Identify target accounts, markets, and sales goals utilizing various tools such as supplier sales planning system and WESCO CRM system.
4. Track targets and communicate results to suppliers and WESCO.
5. Assist suppliers in launching training programs to educate the field sales force and customer base to grow sales of WESCO and supplier product and solution offerings.
6. Manage supplier marketing and co-op dollars.
7. Utilize funds to develop business and drive sales at branches, and for sales and marketing initiatives.
8. Track net spend budget.
9. Work with marketing managers to ensure business plans are supplemented with marketing activities to complement and support business plans.
10. Coordinate and execute key meetings including executive supplier top-to-top meetings and business/agreement planning meetings.
11. Negotiate and execute corporate preferred supplier agreements, including corporate supplier volume rebates, co-op, marketing development funds, terms and conditions, returns, minimums, service expectations, and distribution center redistribution allowances.
12. Forecast supplier volume rebates.
13. Ensure execution of term agreements and collect associated earned funding and allowances.
14. Review margin, fill rates, turns, and availability.
15. Work with distribution centers to ensure the most effective supply chain processes are occurring with suppliers and identify opportunities to improve financial performance through large buys and pre-price increase orders.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree required.
2. Experience in the Data Centre Industry required.
3. 3 years required, 3 years preferred of contract negotiations.
4. 5 years required, 6 years preferred of supplier management.
5. 5 years required, 6 years preferred of staff management.
6. Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Willingness to travel up to 30%.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
10. Establish and maintain effective working team relationships.
11. Maintain professional relationships, build trust, and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
12. Entrepreneurial spirit.
13. Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office software.
