Job Description
Assistant Finance Manager duties:
* Enter sales invoices into accounting software, including coding and setting up new customers.
* Record all purchase and supplier invoices, including coding and setting up new suppliers.
* Post all bank transactions into accounting software.
* Perform bank reconciliations using accounting software.
* Set up payments for suppliers.
* Post credit card transactions to ledgers.
* Record business expenses in accounting software.
* Maintain daily records of all financial transactions.
* Issue payment invoices and receipts to clients.
* Conduct account reconciliations.
* Assist with statutory audits as needed.
* Support other accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
* Manage the accounts mailbox.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Assistant Finance Manager will have:
* 2+ years experience, eager to enhance accounting knowledge within a growing company.
* Proactive and self-motivated.
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
* Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
* Proficient in financial planning software, including Microsoft Excel and Sage.
* Able to work independently.
