This is a full time role, consisting of 37.5 hours a week on a permanent basis.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will ensure that the provision is a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in sports and training injury areas.
Job responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries.
* Using clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
* Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
* Communicating effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of their conditions and maximise their rehabilitation potential.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc Hons Physiotherapy (or BSc Physiotherapy) plus additional specialist training or experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent.
* Please provide your membership registration number(s).
* You are required to be registered with the relevant professional body, as detailed in the advert, prior to submitting your application.
* Your application will not progress should you fail to provide a valid membership registration number(s).
Experience
* Must have relevant experience in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions with relevant courses completed.
Registrations and Memberships
* Current Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Memberships.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
