SALARY: Grade 2 SCP 3 (£24,027) Pro Rata
Hours: 7.5 hours PER WEEK / 38 Weeks per year (term time only)

The Headteacher and Governors of Gladstone School wish to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor for this temporary full time post. The successful candidate will join a committed and enthusiastic team in an inner city, multicultural school, whose vision statement is “Caring, Sharing & Learning Together.” The successful candidate will supervise children in the dining hall, as well as interact with the children in the playground, encouraging purposeful play sessions.
The successful candidate will:
• Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
• maintain orderly conduct in the dining hall and playground
• maintain orderly conduct in classrooms during days of inclement weather
• cleaning of dining areas both inside and outside in the school yard including tables, chairs and surrounding areas
• promote school policy on discipline and behaviour
• promote school policy on equal opportunities
• promote school policy on health and safety
• contribute to meetings, discussions and management systems as necessary
• co-ordinate the work of the school as a whole, during the midday break.
