Sheffield City Trust's Community Team delivers a programme of free sports and activities at various community sites in the city through the school holidays. The aim is to provide an opportunity for children and young people to access all kinds of fun with sport including Football, Cricket, Hockey, Tennis, and more. We are looking for a confident and committed Supervisor to support and assist the Community Engagement Coordinator and wider Community Team in the delivery of the programme and a range of supporting duties.
Salary: £12.36 per hour - The rate of pay for 16- and 17-year-olds is at 80% and 90% of the rate shown respectively.

Job Role:
1. To plan, deliver and monitor a range of activities for children and young people in a safe and inclusive environment, throughout the various resilient communities of Sheffield.
2. The role will be expected to lead at times on various initiatives.
3. To be responsible for the safe transport of staff and equipment using the Community Team van.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS disclosure and is covered by Sheffield City Trust's Safer Recruitment practices, aimed at safeguarding and protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Essential experience or qualifications:
1. Experience of working with children, families, and communities.
2. Experience of planning, delivering and reviewing activities and projects.
3. Ability to work as part of a team.
4. Ability to analyse data and reports to produce improvement plans.
5. Understanding of cultural sensitivities when working in and with communities.
6. Able to work various hours including evenings and weekends.
7. Enthusiasm and energy to deliver a quality programme of activities.
Desirable Experience or Qualifications:
1. Experience of delivering activities, sports, and games.
2. Experience of producing accurate reports to management.
3. Knowledge and/or understanding of the various resilient communities of Sheffield.
4. Qualification in sports, games or activities (e.g. Sports Leadership, coaching).
5. Willingness to work occasional overtime.
