A leading supplier of automotive parts is actively seeking Injection Moulding Tool & Die Maintenance Engineers due to an increase in work. With a long and stable past, the company has continued to grow, recently acquiring another business, making them a major player within the industry.
The role will involve highly-skilled, complex and specialist detailed work of maintaining the engineering tooling used to produce components, products and assemblies.
*** Up to £42k double days, £44k-£48k Nightshift***
As a Toolmaker / Tool Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:
1. Carrying out proactive maintenance on moulding tools that come from production and logging them in the system.
2. Preparing moulding tools in a good condition ready for production.
3. Liaising with the processing team regarding issues with mould tools.
4. Investigating issues to find root causes, passing information back to the design department and management so issues can be avoided in future.
5. Maintaining spares and equipment to avoid lengthy repairs time.
To be successful in the role of Toolmaker / Tool Maintenance Engineer the ideal candidate will:
6. Have a time severed toolmaking apprenticeship with experience of working with Injection Mould Tooling
7. Be skilled in Bench fitting
8. Have experience in manual machining using miller, lathes and surface grinders.
9. Have experience of production tooling support breakdowns and TPM activities
