The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Gym Instructor to join our team at Xcite Whitburn on a permanent contract. The ideal candidates will have a passion for fitness, a positive attitude, and the ability to inspire and support our members in reaching their fitness goals. As a Gym Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering individual inductions and training programmes, providing guidance on exercise techniques, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times for our members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out gym inductions, fitness assessments and consultations
* Pro-actively engage with customers to meet their individual requirements
* Demonstrate activities for clients to follow
* Give advice on healthy eating and lifestyle
* Stop behaviour that could be dangerous
* Respond quickly in emergency situations
* Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning duties
* Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints should they arise
* Set up and take down sports equipment
* Process bookings and payments through cash and credit card transactions
* Promote products and services to customers and visitors
* Maintain vending stock levels and process takings (at designated facilities)
* Undertake general administrative tasks to support the delivery of programmes and services
* Attend regular training to maintain job competence
