Electro-Mechanical Industrial Door Engineer x2
Hours of the role: Full-time (Monday - Friday), Permanent.
Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 17:00hrs; Friday: 07:30 - 15:30hrs.
Holiday Entitlement: 33 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
The Client:
Our client has established a global reputation as the world's foremost designer, manufacturer, and installer of some of the world's largest doors, ranging from fire station doors, through aircraft hangar doors and on up to 70 metre high doors for rocket launching facilities.
The Role:
Vacancies have arisen within our client's business for TWO additional Industrial Door Engineers to carry out the following primary functions:
1. Routine maintenance of door installations (the vast majority of which are our own products).
2. Occasional repair / parts replacement on door installations.
3. Completing online service reports for finished works and recommendations to our Service team for any further works.
Our client's site is based in Biggleswade but ideally candidates would be located in the following areas:
* The M3 Corridor to cover works into Central London and down to the South West of England and the Channel Islands.
* North of Biggleswade to cover the northern half of the country and into Scotland.
Candidate Profile:
1. At least 5 years' experience in maintaining other types of industrial door (such as Roller Shutters, High Speed Doors, Sectional Doors, Sliding Gates etc.) or possibly with a lift engineer or overhead crane engineer background.
2. Ability to read engineering drawings.
3. 18th Edition / Electrical qualifications.
4. IPAF/DHF-trained.
5. CSCS Card(s) with a strong understanding of working safely.
6. Full UK Driving Licence.
7. Positive and conscientious attitude with a team player mentality.
8. Good level verbal and written communication skills.
