Assistant Shop Manager, Coleraine (14 hours – Friday & Saturday )

The successful applicant will be required to work 2 days per week – Friday and Saturday
The main purpose of th e role is to assist the Shop Manager to create a welcoming atmosphere in our shop and ensure that each customer has a po sitive shopping experience .
Reporting to the Shop Manager, t he main responsibilities of th is role are to :
* g reet customers and a ssist them where necessary
* accept, sort, price, store and display merchandise/donations
* ensure a high standard of presentation, display and pricing
* b e responsible for processing payments and ensuring Gift Aid donations are recorded accurately
* p romote Gift Aid to customers and sign-up donors to enhance shop income
* be r esponsible for opening and closing of the shop during trading hours
* supervise V olunteers and Sales Assistants
* e nsure the store is kept clean and tidy
* a ttend appropriate training, as required
* a ny other duties that may be required by the Shop Manager .
Applicants must have:
* Experience of cash handling
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent customer service and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Flexibility, integrity and an understanding of confidentiality
It is desirable that the p ost-holder has experience within the retail sector. It is also desirable that the post-holder has supervisory experience .
What we can offer you:
Salary Scale £11. 52 per hour (rising to £12.29 on 1 April 2025)
Hours: 14 hours – 9:00am – 5:00pm (2 day s – Friday & Saturday )
Permanent contract
