Job Title: Buyer
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Type: Permanent (Hybrid)
Portfolio Procurement are working with a leading Berkshire based client.
You will be responsible for the supply of tableware, glassware, paperware, and textiles, whilst engaging with internal and external parties within the supply chain to ensure efficiency and minimize issues.
Your experience within the aviation industry will be essential to this role, as well as meeting strict deadlines and implementing systems to streamline workflow.
This is a hybrid role where you will be required to be on-site a minimum of 2 days per week; however, flexibility can be arranged for the right person.
Experience:
1. Experience as a buyer in the aviation industry (preferred)
2. Purchasing experience with inflight products (flight packaging, disposable products, flight cutlery, etc.)
3. Experience of buying within the APAC region
Responsibilities:
1. Implementing systems to streamline workflow and make the procurement process efficient
2. Being a team player
3. Handling stress and pressure effectively
4. Meeting deadlines
5. Working directly with factories and overseeing logistics when ordering goods
6. Calculating freight prices from our logistics partner to determine the total cost
7. Presenting cost prices to the sales team
8. Being hands-on and meticulous
9. Thinking on your feet to find the best solutions
Hours: 40 hours per week, hybrid, 2 days in office
