Overview of role
Location: Liverpool
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for promoting, monitoring and driving continuous improvements in Quality, Food Safety and due diligence standards across the site.
As a Quality Coordinator you are committed to ensuring that the Bakery’s team are compliant with BRC standards of food safety and are audit ready at all times. Working with the wider team to ensure all products are manufactured to industry standards is important to you, as without these standards being met, we aren’t able to fulfil customer’s orders.
As our next Quality Systems Coordinator, you’ll be carrying out internal audits Raising and investigating ingredients and packaging non-conformances Identifying and implementing corrective and preventative actions Completing and presenting KPIs.
This is a Fixed Term position for 12 months to cover maternity leave. It is full time and site-based. Salary: £27,000pa.
Key Accountabilities
1. Positively engage with the Safety-First culture, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures in respect of Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality.
2. Coordinate product assessments, promoting corrective actions to remedy any faults found.
3. Monitor process parameters.
4. Assist with the investigation of complaints and food safety incidents.
5. Review process documentation and implement improvement initiatives to drive paperwork standards.
6. Write procedures/briefs and ensure documentation is updated to meet the required standards.
7. Departmental support with NPD and EPD.
8. Coordinate the collation of product samples and distribute accordingly.
9. Conduct employee hand swabbing and analyse the results collected from Mould Free Shelf-Life samples.
10. Carry out Internal, GMP, Process Systems, Fabrication, Hygiene, Glass and Canteen audits ensuring that results and corrective actions are cascaded to the relevant departments, tracked and closed out in a timely manner.
11. Support with traceability/recall exercises.
12. Departmental support during external audits and non-conformance closed out process.
The Right Person
13. A food manufacturing background is essential, ideally with experience of the Technical function.
14. Understanding of the importance of food safety.
15. Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent.
16. Ability to analyse data, trend it and effectively communicate findings to the management.
17. Competent user of Microsoft Office.

20. The ability to build effective working relationships with the wider site team.
21. A positive and enthusiastic approach to work life, with the ability to maintain focus and drive tasks through to completion.
