Thales UK Reporting Accountant
Location: Crawley (Hybrid working - 60% of time spent on site)

Thales UK has an exciting opportunity as we look to recruit our UK Reporting Accountant! This is a dual-aspect role where you will work as an important part of two teams; UK Finance Corporate Reporting and UK Tax.
You will assist the Finance Director (UK Reporting and Planning) in ensuring that adequate financial control is exercised over the Company by ensuring compliance with Group and Statutory reporting requirements and assist in managing the Company’s reporting, forecasting, and budgeting control processes.
You will also work alongside the UK Tax Director and Corporate Tax Specialist to provide accounting expertise and support in managing the Company’s UK tax requirements. This will include support on forward tax planning as a part of the budgeting and forecasting cycles, Group tax reporting requirements, UK statutory tax calculations, and tax compliance matters for HMRC.
About you
You will have a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience in an audit or financial reporting role. Experience of statutory reporting requirements for complex entities is essential, as well as full up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance requirements. You will also have in-depth experience of project managing the process of statutory accounts production and audit, along with experience of UK tax reporting requirements, working alongside tax specialists.
You should also have:
* Interpretative and analytical skills to assimilate complex issues into reporting and accounting solutions.
* Effective communication skills.
* Able to manage numerous complex tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work flexibly across multiple teams, prioritising tasks effectively based on business, commercial, and legal requirements.
* Strong commercial and operational awareness.
* Ability to work independently on complex issues.
