What you will be doing as the engineering manager:
Leading and inspiring the engineering team, mentoring them to achieve their full potential.
Ensuring the smooth running of equipment by aligning maintenance priorities with production needs, reducing downtime, and increasing efficiency.
Taking ownership of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, helping the business continue to thrive.
Driving the implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, keeping operations running smoothly and avoiding costly breakdowns.
Spearheading initiatives to improve processes, reduce waste, and save money - adding real value to the business.
Promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standards across your department.
Collaborating with key stakeholders to align engineering efforts with the overall business goals.What you will need to apply for the engineering manager position:
Experience in managing a large maintenance team in a manufacturing or technical environment.
Strong people management skills with a focus on developing your team through training and development.
An HND or above in an engineering discipline, for example, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Good all-round maintenance engineering knowledge and the ability to discuss both electrical and mechanical issues.What you will receive as the engineering manager
£60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience, possibly slightly more for the right person) + pension, (matched up to 6%), Private Medical, potential annual bonus of up to £5,000, etc.
The working hours
Standard hours will be a 40-hour working week.
