Salary: Negotiable, depending onexperience What you’ll be doing:
* Providing advice onproduct safety matters to project and engineering managersdelivering the programmes and ensuring the safety considerationsare correctly considered andimplemented
Engaging with third parties, to review and gathersupporting Design Safety Justification (DSJ) reportevidence Developing safety arguments, both physical andfunctional, using appropriate safety analyses methods, producing,and updating DSJ’s and safety management documentation usingappropriate regulations andstandards Line Managing other safety practitioners in yourteam
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
* Degree levelqualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject(Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/Science)
Broad knowledge of industry safety standards (suchas Def Stan 00-055 and 00-056, IEC 61508 orsimilar) Demonstrable experience in safety engineeringactivities in the defence, maritime or a relevant highly regulateddomain
Desirable:
* Good communicationskills and ability to interact and managestakeholders
