What you'll be doing
The Smart Meter Project Coordinator will provide technical and operational expertise to identify and deliver solutions for challenging Cut-Out changes that prevent the installation of Smart Meters. This role involves close collaboration with the Smart Metering Team and Framework Partners to reduce the number of B11 Fused Neutral Cases in SPM, coordinating disconnection works as necessary.
The Project Coordinator will manage site construction aspects, ensuring safety and quality compliance. Additionally, they will coordinate all project aspects assigned by the Project Leader and/or Senior Engineer. The role also includes assisting in the design and delivery of investment works in collaboration with the Engineer/Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure designs delivered comply with Company and statutory requirements and update the business on required changes as they arise, working with the engineering team.
* Carry out live cutout changes/disconnections as and when required.
* Project management and financial control of connections projects (control, forecasting expenditure, income, variations, and scheme management).
* Ensure effective communications with customers providing regular updates in relation to project timescales and delivery.
* Respond appropriately to Customer Complaints, taking ownership and resolving as appropriate.
* Focus on continuous improvement through quality processes.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered within timescales and to costs.
* Co-ordination of field staff/material requirements etc.
* Required standard of safety, quality and environmental management met.
* Work towards a zero accident culture and lead by example.
* Deliver excellent customer service to all aspects of your operation and actively promote customer service standards within area of responsibility.
* Comply with site and workplace audits.
* Attendance at monthly team meetings.
* All appropriate safety documentation complied with.
* Zero accident rate achieved.
* All additional costs to projects are reclaimed to the customer where appropriate.
* Provide interface with contractors and internal businesses to assist in the delivery of projects.
* Provide interface with Design & Development to establish a robust programme of works.
What you'll bring
* Crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a relevant area such as the delivery of customer funded works or SPEN investment projects.
* Computer literacy - e.g. Microsoft Office suite.
* Working knowledge of company Health & Safety requirements and compliance.
* Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
* LV network switching experience desirable.
* Knowledge of the MOCOPA guide desirable.
* Current in date SPEN/DNO Live Working authorisation.
