We have the perfect job for you in our Housing Performance and Insight Team. You will act as our principal lead for our housing asset maintenance and repairs systems. This will mean you will work with large datasets and make creative reports and dashboards with MS Power BI.
Got an eye for finer details that will bring data to life for our Housing Managers and Operational staff?
This role is right up your street as it requires you to work with data to build Power BI Reports that present data in a way that is meaningful to colleagues to assist in service monitoring and decision-making. Our service delivery teams are comfortable using interactive visualisations to make robust decisions and plan work in the most efficient way. To make this effective, this role will lead on discussions with our housing service teams to elicit requirements and create reports that help the service to grow.
About the role.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, administration and development of the Council’s Housing Maintenance systems. These systems oversee scheduling, materials procurement, reporting, and accounting for approximately £6 million worth of reactive, cyclical, and planned maintenance, involving 90 employees.
You will provide frequent reports for the Housing Service, including but not limited to: Productivity Statistics, Compliance Reports and Asset Management analysis at both component and asset level.
You will collate monthly statistical data to ensure Housing Compliance and Tenant Satisfaction Measure Dashboards in Power BI are accurate and up to date including liaising with Housing Maintenance teams for clarification of outsourced work figures.

About you
You will bring energy and ambition to lead the development of housing systems. You will need to work accurately, paying great attention to detail, and use your own initiative while working well under pressure.
You should be proficient in using various corporate ICT systems to provide information and generate reports. A willingness and ability to adapt to constantly changing technology is essential, as the Council aims to enhance our technology, systems, and resources to meet the changing needs of our residents. Experience in implementing new systems would be advantageous.
An expert level in Microsoft Power BI is essential and you will be used to building data connections, managing data sources and developing interactive reports. Skills in a range of software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and a knowledge of specialist software (such as Uniclass and DRS) would be an advantage.
You will possess good analytical thinking to solve technical problems and ability to manage conflicting demands, resolve issues and meet set targets and deadlines.
You will possess the self-discipline to work alone on data, visualisations and systems, but have the personal skills to work alongside managers to develop our service.

£34,541 to £38,245 per annum
