Well established MSP are looking to recruit an IT Support Manager to join their Northampton based team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for designing, installing, and supporting a range of IT systems and infrastructures for their diverse clients. Working with internal teams, you’ll also help shape proposals to ensure they meet high technical standards. Within this hands on role you will provide essential 3rd line support whilst mentoring and training a small team of 1st / 2nd line analysts. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Design and Support: Design, implement, and support IT systems and infrastructure for clients, ensuring documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date. Technical Collaboration: Partner with the Business Development and Sales teams to develop technically sound proposals tailored to client needs. Project Management: Lead IT project implementations from initial planning and design through to successful completion. Client Support: Deliver expert technical support for a range of SMB and enterprise clients, working with various current and emerging technologies. Mentorship and Escalation: Guide and provide technical support to the 1st and 2nd line support teams, acting as an escalation point for complex issues to maintain high service standards. 2nd & 3rd Line Support: Deliver advanced technical support for systems and infrastructure, including server and desktop OS, hardware, application software, networks, and data backups. Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, mentoring junior staff and championing company values. Hardware and Software Deployment: Oversee and assist with hardware and software rollouts, including travel and overnight weekday stays across the UK when required. Internal IT Systems: Manage and support the company’s internal IT systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and are fully operational.
