Salary: Circa £58,000 Role Description: As Finance Business Partner you will work closely with the relevant business area to provide guidance, analysis and insight on financial matters, providing both recommendations and challenge. Through building relationships and influencing stakeholders, you will partner and provide financial support to facilitate the achievement of the business goals. Key Accountabilities: Provide financial management expertise, analysis and insight to inform and contribute to decision-making within the business channel/segment/function. Appraise and support new business opportunities and projects to ensure that all relevant financial considerations are made and appropriate controls are in place. Support and control the expense budgeting and planning process for their business area. Produce accurate and timely financial management information for use within the business area to inform decision-making. Ensure all reporting and accounting is carried out to the required standards and quality, and to the agreed timescales. Influence business decision-making through engagement with key stakeholders Technical Skills: A good working knowledge of management accounting techniques Proven record of providing advice & support to senior stakeholders Experience of working with colleagues from non-finance areas of a business Advanced Excel skills; comfortable dealing with large volumes of data and experience of automating & improving complex numerical models Some existing knowledge of Insurance would be beneficial An aptitude for systems work is desirable Strong intellect and the ability to see the 'big picture' across the business Ability to interact and collaborate credibly at all levels in the organisation, including at senior management level Strong attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated, positive and innovative; ability to use initiative and provide constructive challenge where necessary Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
