Job title: Mechanical Project Manager Location: Cumbria Day Rate: Dependant on experience (Outside IR35) Contract Length: 6 Month Rolling Contract Role: An opportunity has come available for a Electrical Project Manager to work on a National Grid substation project, overseeing and managing the installation of mechanical systems inside the substation. The ideal candidate will come from an mechanical background and have strong knowledge across mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing the day to day working of the mechanical team and supporting the site team in making decisions and providing direction that suits the projects targets in terms of safety, programme and commercial control. Ensure deadlines and timescales are met on all mechanical work packages. Liaising with client, producing and presenting regular updates. Managing the strategic aspects of the project, mitigating risks whilst overseeing / coordinating the delivery team Managing the programme and monitoring costs. Essential Requirements: Strong knowledge across mechanical systems. Proven experience managing mechanical project teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
