Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
Working days - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
My client based in Stirling is looking for a Senior Technician (Electromechanical engineer/technician) to join their team based in Stirling. Please see all job details below and a split of the duties - 80% of this job will be repairing devices, 10% plant maintenance and 10% supervising a team of 3. Please read below for more information.
Duties
* Carry out the testing, repairing and servicing of medical device equipment
* Swapping small component parts, carrying out fault finding and confirming faults (using fault codes)
* Testing individual parts and documenting all testing
* Repairing equipment by swapping valves, rebuilding compressors, repairing leaks, etc
* Plan the allocation of resources across the team to ensure efficient throughput of devices to meet daily demand for devices and service intervals
* Carry out preventative maintenance programs to extend maintenance life and minimise downtime
* Ability to diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues quickly and effectively
* Calibrating and maintaining equipment to maintain operational standards
* Reporting to the respective Site Manager with close communication/accountability to the Technical Maintenance Manager, to liaise and problem solve any issues impacting on medical device equipment, safety, production plant and equipment and associated quality and logistics
* Motivate and develop the team of technicians, as well as share the workload, being hands-on with the team for the majority of the daily activity (this is roughly 10% of the role looking after a team of 3)
* Ensure Service Technicians are trained, internally and externally to meet business needs xi) To ensure that the field teams equipment is ready for use for the day/week
* Ensure equipment meets manufacturer and technical standards suitable for use by patients
* Fully document service reports
* Ensure an efficient and safe operation
* Comply with Health & Safety/welfare of yourself and fellow colleagues by following company Information Security, HR as well as Health and Safety guidelines and policies
* Coordinate and liaise with 3rd party contractors to enable both repairs, maintenance and compliance checks on respective plant equipment
