Job Description:
Our supported living services operate from 8 am to 8 pm (some include sleep shifts). At Avon Support Ltd, we are recruiting female support workers to join our friendly team for our supported living service and enable individuals to access our day centre.
We support individuals in our day centre, the community, and their own homes. As a female support worker, you will assist people in developing their life skills and independence, encouraging learning and engaging in fun activities.
Engage in adventures helping people connect with their community, spend quality time at home, and participate in recreational activities such as bowling, local clubs, cinema, football, cafes, and shopping!
Make a real difference in many people's lives by supporting and enhancing their day-to-day experiences. In our day centre, you will facilitate daily fun activities such as quizzes, games, flower arranging, baking, cooking, and much more!
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a support worker role is desirable, preferably in a similar setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Valid driver's license and ability to drive a minibus.
* Experience in organizing and facilitating group activities.
* Knowledge of inclusive and accessible community resources.
* Flexibility for sleeps/weekends/evening shifts.
