Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your career while supporting the delivery of strategic priorities for Sheffield? We are looking for a Contract Manager with the right skills and values. If you are keen to work collaboratively, have strong attention to detail, and take pride in delivering excellent outcomes, we welcome your application.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sheffield City Council's Sport, Leisure and Events Team, leading on contract management for a range of sport, leisure, and entertainment-related contracts. We are looking for a passionate, driven, and focused manager to lead on contract management and governance, including developing performance measures and monitoring strategies, policies, and plans that set the direction and standards for service delivery.
The role plays an integral part in monitoring delivery against a range of Sport, Leisure, and Entertainment Contracts within Neighbourhood Services and includes the direct line management of a Contract Support Officer.
The successful candidate will act as lead contact and play a key role in ensuring that major strategic contracts are delivering against key outcomes. You will be working together with colleagues from across council departments as well as external partners to ensure compliance with contractual documents, including specifications, pricing frameworks, and contract performance measures.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate exceptional organisational skills with the ability to identify and propose solutions to mitigate contractual risks. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to provide guidance and support on contract-related issues. This role will manage multiple contracts simultaneously, and therefore the ability to meet deadlines across many areas while working within a governance framework will be required.
A recognised procurement qualification would be advantageous but is not essential for this role, as training and development opportunities will be provided for the right candidate.
