Job summary 23.67 hours per week This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified emergency nurse to work in a fast paced, dynamic emergency department. Rotherham's Urgent and Emergency Care Centre is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, highly motivated individual to come and join our team in a role as a senior sister/ charge nurse. We are looking for a forward thinking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our senior nursing team. The successful applicant will be assisting in the leadership of the department and the co-ordination of high quality care within the clinical environment. Patient safety and experience is of paramount importance. The band 7 team play a pivotal role in the delivery and monitoring this. The post holder will also have clinical, teaching, managerial, and staff development responsibilities. As part of the role you are expected to Lead and manage your own mentor team of staff within the department. This includes appraisals mandatory training compliance and ensuring a positive staff/patient experience. Main duties of the job Within this role the post holder will be expected to assess patients, the care plans devised, and the implementation of the care. Provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role involves managing staff, rotas, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control and budgetary management for the area.
