Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity to join our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team in South East Staffordshire based at The Friary, Lichfield.
We work with people who are experiencing a mental health crisis, who require extra support alongside their regular support network or who can have the same treatment provided at home that they would receive in a Mental Health Hospital. As an integral team in the Urgent Care Pathway, we work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Main duties of the job
* Assessing mental health crises in individuals referred to the service and supporting the delivery of safe and effective home treatment for an identified client group and in accordance with a wellbeing and recovery action plan.
* Participating in the delivery of the agreed aims and objectives of the service and identifying factors which may inhibit these from being achieved.
* Assisting in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care to service users referred to the team.
* Implementing agreed systems for the monitoring of effectiveness of care.
* Participating in the education and management of junior staff.

This is a 24-hour service and team members are all required to work rostered shifts including weekends and nights and you must have access to suitable transport, to cover geographical area for your shifts.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Be a Registered Mental-health Nurse as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be active on their register.
* Ability to use computers and other information technology as required.
Experience
* Have previous experience of working in the community Mental Health Setting.
* Have extensive registration experience.
* Experience working in CRHT.
Skills
* Have knowledge of current initiatives impacting on the service.
* Have a working knowledge of risk assessment and management related to the area.
* Can demonstrate the skills required to work within and across teams and professional boundaries.
* Be able to lead assessments confidently and competently.
* Have excellent communication skills.
