Year 1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Contract: Part-Time (Monday – Wednesday), Fixed Term
Duration: 2 Terms (until the end of the academic year)

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join our supportive team on a maternity cover basis for 2 terms, working part-time from Monday to Wednesday. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning, cater to diverse learning needs, and promote progress for all students in Year 1.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
2. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and curiosity
3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and supporting individual learning journeys
4. Collaborate with teaching assistants, fellow teachers, and parents to support each child's educational and personal development
5. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community
About You:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, creative, and adaptable primary teacher who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will be passionate about early years education, have strong classroom management skills, and be committed to inspiring young learners.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Relevant teaching experience in Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 1 setting
3. Strong understanding of the national curriculum and best practices in early years education
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
