We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Tameside. This role involves working closely with students who require additional support, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties. Assisting in the classroom to ensure all students can engage with the lesson. Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and working closely with teachers and the SENCO. Supporting students with their emotional, social, and academic development. Helping to create an inclusive, positive learning environment. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (in a school, youth work, or care setting). A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach to working with students. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Psychology degree) is desirable but not essential.
