The Role
The postholder will assist the Senior Charge Midwife to deliver high quality evidence based woman and baby centred care. S/he will be involved in providing both individualised patient care and in planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care within all areas of the maternity service, ensuring compliance with NHS Lanarkshire’s policy and procedures and maintaining statutory requirements in accordance with the NMC. To provide safe, effective centred person care.
What we'll need you to bring
* Registered on Part 10 of NMC Register (Degree level)
* In addition, the post holder must have successfully completed a period of preceptorship lasting 12-24 months and equates to working at post graduate diploma level.
* The postholder will possess team working skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.
* Effective communication skills are essential.
* Time management skills essential.
* Information technology skills.
* Working towards maintaining Post-Registration Education and Practice Requirements.
