We are recruiting an Asset Reinvestment Manager for our client, a small/medium Housing Association based in South Yorkshire.
The post holder will design, procure and administer effective and legally compliant planned and/or major works and cyclical maintenance projects on behalf of the organisation. They will also manage and mitigate risk from disrepair claims through the Housing Disrepair Protocol, reporting to the Head of Asset Management.
This key individual will be responsible for the management of all aspects of asset reinvestment programmes and major works, providing comprehensive specifications of works, ensuring customers receive a first-class service and communication when having improvements carried out to their homes. The role involves utilising capital and revenue expenditure, managing external contractors to maximise value for money, and supporting the organisation’s ongoing adherence to Health & Safety legislation, approved codes of practice, and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of skills, competencies, and qualifications including:
1. Professional qualification in Building Surveying or Construction Management, or significant relevant experience.
2. Experience of operational management and delivery of capital and major works programmes within a relevant organisation.
3. Knowledge of JCT and NEC construction contractual frameworks.
4. Experience of delivering improvement programmes that are compliant with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, building control, and CDM regulations.
