Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Logistics Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of food orders, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and promoting a high standard of professionalism within the logistics department. As a Logistics Team Leader, you will also provide mentorship to new drivers, manage vehicle cleanliness, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Safe and Professional Delivery: Deliver food products to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance: Regularly inspect the companys delivery vehicles for proper operation and identify any faults. Ensure the vehicles are in good working condition before and after shifts.
Loading & Unloading: Ensure all products are loaded and unloaded in a safe and organized manner, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the loading areas.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Resolve any customer complaints or issues that arise during deliveries. Report any significant matters to the Manager for further action.
Heavy Lifting & Vehicle Operation: Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy food orders and operating delivery vehicles for extended periods of time.
Mentorship & Training: Mentor and guide new drivers, ensuring they are fully trained in all aspects of their role, including delivery protocols, vehicle maintenance, and safety measures.
Professionalism: Represent the company with the highest level of professionalism by adhering to safe driving practices, exercising sound judgment, and maintaining a respectful attitude toward customers and colleagues.
Interpersonal Skills: Utilize strong communication and conflict resolution skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
Team Coordination: Lead regular team meetings with drivers to review goals, performance, and updates, as well as route planning.
Warehouse Communication: Work closely with the Warehouse Manager, providing regular updates on logistics operations and highlighting any issues or improvements. Assist with planning of new shop opening and updating drivers routs. Ability to effectively with the various departments and managers in Head Office whenever required.
Van Maintenance Research: Stay informed on available van maintenance offers and deals to ensure cost-effective repairs and servicing. Book vans in for regular services and update the van maintenance schedule.
Administrative Support: Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) to document logistics reports, vehicle inspection results, and training materials. Assist with booking transport between sites.
Van Cleaning Schedule: Ensure that all delivery vehicles follow a strict cleaning schedule, keeping vehicles clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse & Production Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the warehouse and production management teams. This role will assist in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and production facility, ensuring efficient processes, accurate documentation, and effective communication between departments. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, and the drive to support the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily operational tasks and coordinating team
activities.
-Prepare, organize, and maintain warehouse documentation such as inventory reports,
production schedules, delivery logs, and supplier communications.
-Manage office correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and memos, ensuring
timely responses and action items are followed up on.
-Process orders and prepare shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, etc.) for
distribution.
-Respond to customers inquiries related to inventory, order status, product availability etc.
-Assist in handling returns, exchanges, or complaints
-Effective communication with departments across the company and Head Office.
-Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with food safety regulations.
-Support the Warehouse Manager in preparing reports for regulatory audits and
maintaining records related to food safety and quality assurance.
-Assist with creating and maintaining safety documentation and ensuring team
adherence to policies and procedures.
-Input and maintain accurate data on Excel Spread sheets and warehouse management
systems (WMS) for stock levels, order details, shipping records and Goods In.
-Provide general support to the warehouse and production team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
-Support employee onboarding and training for new warehouse staff members, ensuring they follow company policies and procedures and complete all required training.
-Organise, File and Archive documentation for traceability and auditing purposes.
Requirements:
-Extremely well organised with experience in archiving documents for traceability and auditability
-Extremely good communication skills
-Computer literate is essential (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
-Experience in WMS systems
-BRC Certification standards aware
-Background in Food Production and Distribution, desirable.
