Job Description:
Support Worker – Complex Needs Support
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available, including waking nights and flexible shifts.

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Female Support Workers to join our team to provide 1:1 person-centred care to a vibrant individual with a mild learning disability, emotionally unstable personality disorder, epilepsy, and complex behavioural support needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide consistent emotional and practical support to encourage independence while maintaining safety.
2. Support with personal care routines, ensuring hygiene and dignity are maintained.
3. Assist with daily living skills, meal preparation, and nutritional support.
4. Provide medication management, following MAR sheets and best practices.
5. Engage in positive behaviour support strategies to de-escalate challenging situations.
6. Safeguard against potential risks, including self-harm and absconding, while promoting a structured, stable environment.
7. Support with community activities, ensuring the individual has access to social opportunities safely.
8. Follow epilepsy management protocols and respond appropriately to seizures.
9. Build trusting relationships through clear boundaries, structure, and consistency.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Female applicants only due to the nature of support required.
2. Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours, attachment disorder, and emotional regulation difficulties.
3. Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
4. Experience with epilepsy management or a willingness to undergo training.
5. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
6. Strong communication skills, including the ability to reassure and de-escalate situations.
7. A caring, patient, and non-judgmental attitude.
8. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and waking nights.
Desirable (but not essential):
1. Previous experience in supported living or mental health services.
2. Understanding of mental health disorders and personality disorders.
3. NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
