A prestigious boutique hotel is seeking an experienced and personable Restaurant Reception Manager to lead the front-of-house team in its newly transformed restaurant. With a multi-million-pound refurbishment underway, this venue is set to redefine the dining scene in Bath, offering an exceptional all-day dining experience.
About the Role
The Restaurant Reception Manager will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from booking to farewell. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee the host team, manage reservations, and elevate guest interactions, creating a warm and professional atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the host team through breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
- Welcome and allocate guests using the booking platform, coordinating with the restaurant team.
- Oversee the guest journey, ensuring smooth transitions and a high level of service.
- Manage restaurant reservations and liaise with hotel reception for a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings, promotions, and special events.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Record guest preferences and utilize this information to enhance their future experiences.
- Ensure the reception and host area reflects the brands high standards.
- Plan and coordinate event bookings with the restaurant manager and head chef.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records and schedules accurately.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant and bar offerings, as well as hotel promotions.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational abilities, capable of maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability to handle last-minute requests from guests or senior management.
