Understanding of Assay Office’s aims and objectives, understanding of purpose of hallmarking and understanding the purpose and scope of sampling articles prior to hallmarking:
* Assisting to pack and unpack items to be marked onto trays.
* To receive, prepare, test, mark or pack articles submitted for hallmarking.
* To apply current hallmarking legislation in relation to approving or rejecting articles for hallmarking at submitted fineness.
* Diligent interpretation of customer instructions.
* Understanding of construction of articles to facilitate handling, testing and marking of items.
* Comply with current ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 requirements.
* Comply with your Team’s current methods of working.
* Actively contribute to improving own quality, and that of your Team.
* Actively contribute to improving own productivity, and that of your Team.
* Correct use of equipment and maintenance of all tools.
* Interpreting test results correctly.
* Safe working practices adhered to always.
* Conscious of security of articles.
* Carry out priorities and requirements of Supervisor.
Be willing to undertake other roles, subject to suitable training/ability and willing to work at sub-offices, as required.
Please note this vacancy is for our Heathrow office although you will be required to travel to central London for training.
