Sales and Group Revenue Manager

We are looking for a Sales and Group Revenue Manager to join our expanding team. As a Sales and Group Revenue Manager you will be responsible for driving the sales for Hotel Cromwell and the revenue strategy for the group of hotels with a centrally managed hub. This role is a hybrid of sales and revenue management with a focus on maximising income.
The Sales and Group Revenue Manager will work directly with our corporate clients, negotiate contracts and ensure room guarantees are met whilst also keeping the companys brand in the local market.
Additionally, the Sales and Group Revenue Manager will oversee the reservations function, ensuring seamless operations, training and execution.
THE ROLE:
* Develop, implement and execute the revenue strategy for the group of hotels. Look at market trends, competitor performance and other dates to forecast demand and set dynamic pricing to maximise revenue.
* Set optimal room rates using RevControl. To ensure that rooms are sold at the best price.
* Responsible for the loading of all rate plans onto the hotels PMS (Property Management System) and Global Distribution System where required
* Work closely with the Reservations Managers to monitor daily occupancy levels and adjust pricing
* Oversee and optimise the spa and restaurant bookings. Utilise ResDiary and other platforms to manage bookings
* Overseeand ensure the effective operation of reservations systems, including Reslynx for room reservations and ResDiary for restaurant bookings. Ensure all bookings are managed efficiently and that processes are followed correctly for room, spa, and restaurant reservations
* Manage and optimise multiple booking channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs), direct bookings, and corporate channels, ensuring maximum visibility and profitability.
* Responsible for corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel
* Responsible for building and maintaining client relationships
* Acquire and develop new business accounts
* Undertake sales initiatives to drive revenue during underperforming periods
* Conduct introduction meetings to create strong working relationships/loyalty to the business.
* Corporate Client Management. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships. Negotiate long term contracts to guarantee room nights at competitive prices.
* Local engagement: Ensure the hotel brand remains a key player in the local market. Identify and pursue local businesses.
* Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the hotels goals. Track performance.
* Monthly reports track room night usage for each LPR and analyse against target and compare to previous year etc.
* Conduct visits of local area/business parks to identify potential corporate clients and contact/invite into the hotel for show rounds
* Regularly attend networking events to build relationships with companies and identify any potential business.
* Be part of local tourism group host and present hotel at any FAM Trips.
* The sales manager will be the face of the business during client show-rounds, FAM trips as well as representing the hotel & company at trade shows, exhibitions and other networking events
THE PERSON:
* Experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, ideally for a group of hotels.
* Strong track record of driving revenue growth and optimising pricing strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.
* Experience in working with revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and booking engines.
* Able to drive revenue through strategic decision-making and a strong understanding of the market and customer needs.
* Able to create, implement, and review sales strategies to increase occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR)
* Confident to attend networking events and negotiate contracts
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team while ensuring alignment with company goals.
* Able to adapt to changing market conditions and business demands while maintaining focus on the long-term vision.
